Premier Inn: Rugeley, West Midlands
Supply and installation of emergency heating
On a cold winter’s afternoon, MAK Services received an urgent call from a Premier Inn hotel located in Rugeley, the West Midlands. The hotel’s ground source heat pump system had some issues with its boiler control system.
The control system required some replacement parts, however the required parts were not readily available and needed to be ordered in. With no replacement parts to hand this meant the hotel had no heating system in operation.
The hotel required heating that very evening, it was critical an emergency heating solution was in place to ensure guests enjoyed a comfortable warm stay. Without a heating solution in place the hotel faced the reality of 50 rooms being out of commission, leading to a significant loss in revenue and no doubt many customer complaints.
MAK Services called upon Rapid Climate Control to supply and install a same day emergency temporary heating solution. By 7 p.m. that evening, four hours after MAK Services' call, Rapid Climate Control had delivered and installed 50 2kW Oil Filled Radiators - one for each room.
Thanks to Rapid’s quick response and professional approach, guest disruption and room downtime was kept to an absolute minimum.
The temporary heating solution delivered the required heat and was kept in place until the boiler controls had been fully repaired.
